Wayne State University is becoming a major hub for Arab students wanting to learn English. Sixty students from across the Arab world are attending the courses at WSU. The English Language Learning Institute at the university is the only intensive English language program in the metropolitan Detroit area. Dean M. Lynn, program coordinator for the institute, pointed out that the program also offers evening courses for university educated professionals who simply want to brush up on their English language skills.
